A Story about Luna

It’s true that it takes all of us to help keep animals with their families. Here’s one story that proves the point:

Luna, a happy heeler, severely injured her leg in an accident and her family was devastated. Dealing with other family medical injuries, the family reached out to the shelter to see what could be done to help with veterinary costs. Our staff helped them connect with The Arizona Pet Project and now Luna will get the help she needs. Unfortunately, the leg has a slim chance of healing properly without affecting the quality of her life so the veterinarian recommended amputation. The Arizona Pet Project agreed to cover the costs of the amputation, along with altering and vaccinations. Our staff is elated and wrote: “We can’t thank you enough. So grateful for all the opportunities The Arizona Pet Project provides to make this happen and be able to be a part of it.”

A special thanks to all of the fine, compassionate folks at The Arizona Pet Project!
